Refillability
Customers are highly satisfied with the refillability of the Schneider Ray Cartridge Rollerball Pen as they can use it with various types of ink including bottled ink using an ink syringe or standard international-sized cartridges. The pen's smooth writing and ability to change up inks is a major plus for users.
Writing Performance
Customers have generally positive opinions about the writing performance of the Schneider Ray Cartridge Rollerball Pen, with some mentioning a slight scratchiness at times. The pen is praised for its smoothness and ability to write on various types of paper. However, there are concerns regarding the longevity of the rollerball tip, which may eventually lead to issues such as bleeding or feathering. Overall, customers enjoy using this pen and find it a good everyday writing instrument.

Cartridge Compatibility
Customers have had mixed experiences with the included cartridge of the Schneider Ray Cartridge Rollerball Pen. While some were able to use it with ease and received a cartridge in their purchase, others did not receive one or experienced issues with the cartridge wiggling and eventually leaking inside the barrel.
Highlights
Quality
A fantastic pen that is comfortable to hold and writes well.
It is great to write with, is a good size, and the ink flows easily.
Cartridge wiggled and eventually leaked inside the barrel.
Whatever plastic is supposed to keep the barrel snug isn't working or wasn't made right.
Price
This one does not and it is relatively inexpensive for the quality.
I would rate this pen as being on a par with inexpensive to moderately priced fountain pens.
Competitiveness
Together with the converter sold by monteverde, these pens are a great alternative to disposable rollerball pens.
Given the few cartridge rollerball pens on the market, this is def one of the better ones.
This caveat is why i even went to do the research to find these ahead-of-their-time pens designed to compete with ballpoints.

One has ink and the other is a spare empty which holds the filled cartridge in place

I guess the key thing to keep in mind is that the rollerball tip will not last as long as a fountain pen nib and will wear out
