Highlights
Quality
It handles chopping, splitting, and batoning with ease and is plenty sharp enough to make feather sticks and get a fire going.
Nice knife and really heavy, makes me wonder at my age hold on firmly to it.

The one part of this that i feel schrade has let me down is the sheath kydex or something else been better than the nylon sheat... Read More
Price
With my whining the knife still is a very good deal.
I am a fan of these schrade knives as great budget value knives, generally in the $25-35 range.
It's the price of a large pizza!
If this were a higher end knife i would be sending it back but being as it is a budget knife in my view i will simply correct this myself.
Packaging/appearance
Came with a decent edge and was sharp.
Competitiveness
"better" brands with similar specs can easily cost more than 2x the price.
The included ferro-rod is actually much better than i expected and stands up to any of the $20 rods i have used in the past.
I have three schrade knifes and one old timer all of them taylor brands.
So why throw your money at a tops or esee when you can have a very similar knife such as shrade offers.
