Not as big as i thought and the striking plate is sort of useless so that went in the trash immediately

This can be sparked with basically anything metal after the thin outer coating is removed from the metal

If you need a better rod or intend to use it more than casually im sure that it wouldnt be a mistake to invest a few extra dollars in something more expensive but for casual or emergency use this is hard to fault

Some people are saying the stryker that it comes with doesnt work but it worked on the second strike with some birch bark
