I am a professional mechanic so i was quite skeptical about purchasing this because the price and the quality but i did it anyway.
For the first time ever i am fully confident that the batteries tested will stand up to this demand.

I would've given it five stars, but it arrived with top and bottom walls bent inward due to negligence in packing or shipping.
Yes, it will smell for the first few applications as it burns off any shipping oils.
Shipping was very quick, two days and it was at my door step and that wasn't even prime so thumbs up for that one.

And i saved several dollars compared to local canadiantire motormaster tester.
Easy to use and works well as advirtised.

These are quite expensive for something that is just thin tin and couple of wires as everywhere i looked for one of these they were easily over 50

A misconception is that when testing a battery most only do what they call an electrical test meaning that a small amount of current is run through the battery each cell and a tester tests each cell ensuring that if its good or not and usually you will get a print out telling the condition of the battery

Because many get ripped off because many get told their battery is bad but when it actually isnt the battery so them your out 200 or more for a battery it doesnt make sense so that is why i am saying this because this simple machine can test any battery to ensure it is good

The clamps are not super quality so will have to be delicate and the rubbers on them slide off easily

I hoping that does go away as i have never seen that before so i am sure its just because the coating is burning off but just beware that it could be normal
