Pros
The unit is well made and reasonably priced. Can't beat it. Very happy with purchase. Will update on that.
The electrical cord is quite thick and the rubber cap on the plug is a nice weather proofing feature if it's left outside. The 28 foot cord is much more convenient than the 15 foot cord of the stock unit.
Installing the outlet took me less than an hour. Went from charging at 5% a hour to 10%. Gives me 3 mph charge which is enough to keep up with my regular daily life.
This is a great 240v charger that doesn't hurt the pocket book as much. Upgraded my 20 amp 120v gfci outlet with a 20 amp 240v outlet. Also my breaker was upgraded to 20 amp 240 volt breaker.
This is an economical charger without many frills that works very well. Much better deal than some of the other ridiculously priced chargers.
Cons
Schumacher ev charger works but it is really hard to get off and on. Only idiot lamp on the device indicates just it's plugged into power. Cheaping out definitely would turn my ev car into a multi ton paperweight.

The connector feels sturdy and the rubber dust cap feels good.
Over a year of daily use, no issues
After a half-hour of charging at 16 amps (the max for this unit), both the ac cords and the dc cord felt barely above room temperature.
This lasted for a few charges on house ac after the inverter test then the glitch went away.
Price
At 1/3 the price, this is a no brainer.
Got this as an inexpensive backup for my clipper creek 220v primary.
The price is right and it works.
Packaging/appearance
The warmest part was the main controller box which was no warmer than 35 c, 95 f.
Competitiveness
The schumacher charger has a thicker gauge wire, and runs a lot cooler than toyotas oem charger.

Factory cable takes longer to start charging occasionally wouldn’t charge so needed to pull in out

Also shows max of 16amp charging at the vehicle on 110 factory max output was 11amp max although the cable is thicker also rated level 2

Only negative purchased used to save 1st shipment came someone took 110 extension returned 2nd unit came correct
