Pros & Cons
Pros
Schumacher charger maintainer charges 6-volt or 12 volt, at 3a or 15a. Charged my almost dead battery to 100% and then automatically switched to the maintainer function. Saved us a $500 trip to the bmw dealer.
Cons
It selects the wrong type. I assume the one i received was defective. The last one is less than a year old and it completely quit working. Very seldom used.
It stops charging once the meter claims a 100% charge. If your battery is dead, don't use this charger. It will kill yourbattery by overcharging it. It can't charge a partially charged battery, will cut out too soon.
Don't just set it and leave. Wait and double check before leaving it unattended. Fire hazard. I am done with automatic chargers.
Doesnt spark when connecting to battery3. Same issue on my 64 caddy battery.

It is cheaply made, the front panel is basically a sticker, and it is already loose and could peel off.
Price
Each battery is worth about $250 so it was worth the time and the extra investment for the new charger!
I highly recommend this charger for the value.
In summary, it's a great value for the price in my view.
The noco does not have the amps for the price you need a real expensive one on a 80 amp hour battery.
Shipping
This charger arrived before my replacement battery, so i connected it to my failing agm battery.
Packaging/appearance
Well, i was not sure that i would not send this back because it was just put in a box with no plastic whatsoever and box was even open.
Box wasn't taped closed, no instructions in box at all, appreciate some instructions sent to me
Competitiveness
We were creeping along with a cheaper schumacher and it wasn't doing enough, or either was too old.

It automatically detects what type of battery you have even lets you know if you have the clamps on backwards and will turn on a very small fan if needed to cool the internal electronics
