Pros

Replaced a comparable 3 amp diehard that was accidentally run over. Because i have a twelve year old lead acid battery in my kubota diesel tractor that still work like a champ.

It includes wires which can be permanently connected to the car battery. Would have been nice to have screw holes, or something else to mount the control cases solidly.

This is a basic, low-priced trickle-charger, but it's good quality. Easy hook up and priced reasonably.

Cons

The documentation from schumacher is contradictory on whether or not this unit will automatically recognize a 6v battery. They apparently copied-and-pasted sections from chargers that are dual-voltage capable into the owner's manual. If there is a pow... Read More

As a trickle charger, it works ok but check it frequently. Overcharging the battery will ruin it. Horrible customer service and clueless designers.

You have to manually tell it the battery type (lead acid or lithium ion) before it will do any charging/maintaining. After a few minutes the only indication on the front panel that it is charging is a single green led.

Easy to use, simple to charge, and the flashlight on it has helped several times as well.

Have had this for a few months now, and i've had to jump start my car over a dozen times due to a bad battery.

One charge with this shumacher and the next day the voltage read 12.

Price

Would highly recommend, especially for the price.

Kinda pricey but the perfect charging tool

All the features at less then half the price vs tender.
