I think it's a matter of a fussy part rather than a faulty one. It's in a separate small plastic wrapping inside the box. Oh and the chain comes oiled too!

I was surprised that it needed a special tool, but it did say it on the box.

Competitiveness

I ordered the chain to replace an old, worn out chain on a shwinn sturmy-archer three speed tricycle.

Works just as well as the last chain i had which was schimano.
