Assembly is relatively easy except for adjusting the brakes if, like me, you have never done it before. Easy enough to fix by taking some slack out of the cable. Took some time to adjust the front and rear gears and the brakes. Set it up and readjuste... Read More

Quick releases on the seat post and front wheel work well and hold securely when properly adjusted. Put on the peddles, seat and front tire with a skewer. You need to put the handle bars on make sore everything intuit area is snug and tight.

Cons

This is the third time my pedal fell off while i was riding it. I am not sure if i just got a defective bike. The handlebar design is poor and the handles easily slide off.

After pumping the front tire to 44 psi the max is 64 the tube blew up. It seams that the wheel is to small for the tire. However, derailleur buckled on first use while changing gears riding uphill.

It is not a good design to depend on friction to hold its position as the bar can easily slip and rotate

Apparently the brake disk and assembly are not aligning properly the disk is hitting the top of the brake assembly requiring shims

I bought it on deal and it really value for money

And the fact that all of that was less than 300 bucks is mind boggling

Yesterday morning i noticed that the same bike was listed at 196 plus tax

Came early and was easier to assemble then my more expensive bike

I found that i got to my destination in almost half the time than my old bike

Good news contacted pacificcycle and with out any hesitation or aggravation the pleasant person sent out replacement parts under warranty

Packaging/appearance

The website suggests rereading the instruction manual and going through the packaging to locate missing parts

Some scrapes in the paint from the packaging not holding up during the rugged shipping process

It seemed to be well packaged with parts tie strapped and encased in protective wrap

Competitiveness

Tires are great height is perfect highly recommended as a comparison to the trek bikes

Other similar schwinn mountain bike models were priced in the mid to high400s by comparison
