Pros

It is noticeably lighter than our other bikes. I am notoriously hard on bikes as most of the cheaper bikes i've bought are pretty much thrashed within a year or two. Loved the neon pink color.

It feels like a decent quality product, especially for the price. Tires are nice and wide so you can run them at a lower air pressure. Purchased for my 13 year old.

The braking is pretty standard, but does the job effectively. The best way to do this is to tighten the cable at the caliper by loosening and re-tightening the hex screw. Took some time to adjust the front and rear gears and the brakes.

Cons

Its not a premium bike any more. My advice is to go to a reputable bike shop and spend more money on a good bike or even a good used bike. It has had it serviced 3 times, had to replace 6+ innertubes, gearing is off again, bottom bracket needs to be r... Read More

The suspension, as suspected, is cheap and after two months of use is quite soft. The post is shorter than the frame.

It seams that the wheel is to small for the tire. Assembling this bike is beyond difficult. Hard to give kid his christmas present with no peddles or front wheel.

Our daughter loves it, great quality bike.

I cannot express how amazed i am at the quality of this schwinn bike!

It is not a good design to depend on friction to hold its position as the bar can easily slip and rotate.

Apparently the brake disk and assembly are not aligning properly the disk is hitting the top of the brake assembly requiring shims.

Price

It’s a great bike for the money.

Great bike for the price, especially if you are a casual rider.

And the fact that all of that was less than 300 bucks is mind boggling!

Yesterday morning, i noticed that the same bike was listed at $196 plus tax.

Even arrived the day before it was suppose to.

Good news, contacted pacificcycle and with out any hesitation or aggravation the pleasant person sent out replacement parts under warranty.

Packaging/appearance

I was very impressed with how well the packaging was.

The website suggests rereading the instruction manual and going through the packaging to locate missing parts.

Some scrapes in the paint from the packaging not holding up during the rugged shipping process.

It seemed to be well packaged with parts tie strapped and encased in protective wrap.

Competitiveness

Other similar schwinn mountain bike models were priced in the mid- to high-$400's by comparison.
