This adapter worked great, and had 2 sets of color codes to make the wiring of the new harness very easy.
Its only useful if someone cut out factory plug from car, aldo says for 89 firebird but is not correct but does fit my 87 firebird
Do not ever cut your factory wiring.
Price
For the price you pay for one of these it's not worth it to ruin a good harness.

I like aftermarket radios but i dont like cutting factory harnesses incase me or someone else wants to plug and play a factory radio

Even yours has been cut previously i would recommend buying a factory replacement end and using this to keep everything proper

As for extra wires that dont necessarily connect to the aftermarket unit like the orange illumination wire for example i gave those a noticeable tug and they popped right out of the plug making the wiring job a lot nicer looking
