This is the second version & my favorite for this product.
Fast charge with qi, magnets are strong for my phone through a rubber case (larger phones may be too bulky to use with the case plates).
Convenient and compact with high quality materials, however the magnets are weaker than other magnetic mounts.
The good news is that both of these fixes can be made completely separate from the main product.

Which is obviously not a scosche issue.
Competitiveness
Luckily, i can easily replace it with a similar scosche branded base.
Hopefully scosche will make these changes which imo would make this a 5-star product.

Areas for improvementthe iphone xs is heavy as is magicmount this causes my vent to tilt to the downward position because it simply cant handle the weight

To be fair my dash has a corrugated design which didn’t allow it to adhere properly
