Pros
The price for this item is a steal! I hope it lasts as i really like the compact size. Installed on a c7 corvette and am pretty happy with it for the most part.
The iphone / smart phone magnet is strong and will not let you down. My phone has a battery case and is heavy. As a standard i use an epoxy glue to stick the magnet into the bank of my phone case.
My mount is adhesive. It's never fallen off. The flexible base accommodates to the slightly curved surface on my dashboard without loss of adhesion.
Cons
The adhesive is barely strong enough on a windshield. It has to be at an extreme and unusable angle to to be on the dash or the windshield. The mount itself hold in the vent firmly but once my truck is in motion the phone slides off.

The magnets it comes with form a very strong connection with the mount that holds my phone quite well in a vertical position.
She was so upset because it really is a great product.
There is a little wiggle with the vent clip.

The problem is that the magnet is so strong which is good that every time you take the phone out of the holder it’s pulling hard on the magnet

So use the epoxy glue that you mix two parts together that works the best

We had to use pliers to remove the adhesive but it didn’t leave behind any marks

It only needs a very small footprint in your dash and even bends a little if there is a slight curve so you dont need much space to place it

If you put the magnet on the phone itself and put a case over that to hide the magnet the case acts as a barrier and the phone may not stay on the mount then

That only causes the magnet to not adhere to the phone very well

Whoever thought you could put a thin strip of plastic under a magnet and it will still stick to the phone isnt very bright
