The only reason why i rated this 4 stars instead of 5 is that when is used it initially out of the box my garmin connect app wasn’t calculating training effect or calories burned correctly

It’s unobtrusive unlike a chest strap it just works unlike some fitbits and their silly knockoffs in the pool to capture heart rate and session timing and consistently swimming running or biking and it’s not unattractive at all back to the chest strap thing

The app downloaded separately is a bit limited and clunky at times — and i have wondered once or twice if the device was actually on too — in that one has to select “connect” each time the monitor is on and the app is open

If you’re in the market for triathlon or some such training that benefits from if it doesn’t require visibility into heart performance by all means seriously consider this scosche model as a costeffective alternative to “upperend” ridiculously priced fitness watches and their undeniably lowerend fashionfitness formwithoutfunction pretenders

I never adjusted the strap from when i got it but im fairly thin so maybe people are not adjusting it properly and strap is over tightened causing stress on that area
