I have found one box lasts a long time and the squares work really well.
A little more time consuming than a tape runner and maybe more cumbersome, but i like having full control of precision and placement.
Once they are stuck onto a page they do not adjust which is what i was looking for.

If you place them on photo you can remove them to adjust them
