Pros & Cons
Pros
The strength and durability of this tape are unmatched. Its adhesive power is unmatched, ensuring packages stay sealed during transit. This tape is thicker than most and sticks better than the duck brand with green label.
The tape and adhesive are both strong. It's generally easy to dispense and cut. The glue is not slimy and yet plenty sticky.
I wish it was a little cheaper but it is still worth every penny. Just as good as the factory ship boxes.
Cons
Rolls with dispenser is pretty misleading considering it only comes with one roll. Missing 3 rolls and package is taped up probably with one of the stolen rolls very crudely. Even the sticker on the holder says 6 rolls.
Paper tape is about as sticky as masking tape and tears just as readily. The adhesive is annoying. Literally injured myself on the metal trying to pry the packaging off.
Highlights
Quality
I love 3m tape because it is so sturdy and these had a cutter that guided the tape and kept it from sticking on the roll all the time.
This tape is much sturdier and the adhesive is stronger.
This tape adheres and stays, doesn't lift.
Tape never sticks to itself and cuts so simply.
Price
Pack purchase is great value for money.
I got this scotch tape and it's one of those small things that costs a little more but is well worth it.
The knowledge that it won't fail on me mid-transit is worth the extra cost of ten cents per package.
The cheaper tape literally started coming off as the boxes and crates as they sat set overnight.
Shipping
We ship out around 95 boxes a month and i have tried other brands.

I found some packing tapes to be kind of flimsy and the adhesive give up after a while.
Competitiveness
This is sturdy and better than the green duck brand.
This tape is thicker than most and sticks better than the "duck" brand with green label.
I also tried 3m and they didn't work well on cardboard boxes either.
All brands of cheaper clear tape started to come off within 24 hours by itself.

Sure it eases their manufacturing cost and process not having 2 colors of pellets going thru the same manufacturing process but its at the detriment of the customers experience

The use of colored plaid strips of print on the cardboard roll is pretty clever though
