Pros

Cons

It's thinner, (or if not, certainly more prone to tearing). First problem is trying to get it off the roll, it tears when you try to unroll some to use. It splits down the middle and tears down this side.

It almost seems like 3m went on a cost cutting move for their tapes and found ways to cheapen them. It has to be counterfeit from china.

The edges constantly stick to the underlying layer and have to be dug off with one's nails. The tape is so thin when peeled off it leaves the painted tape behind, and then it comes off in tiny strips.

This tape is flimsy and comes apart when you try to use it. It does not adhere to weatherstrip like it used to. This is the least sticky masking tape i have ever used.

The tape is not for professional use imo. The paper foundation of the tape is far too thin to be practical in most circumstances. The aforementioned problems combine to make a tape that is unpredictable at best.

This is way cheaper than painters blue tape, easier to take off and works just as well.

This tape is affordable and works the best out of all the tapes we have ever used.

I know, i have gone for price in the past and only bought disappointment.

You won't go wrong with scotch (and i have no connection with the brand, lol).
