Pros

It is the tape they use in libraries and while expensive,it is permanent and does not deteriorate. It means the folders last 3 time longer before needing replacement. At this point it appears to be durable.

Transparent tape is much better than regular scotch tape which deteriorates and becomes brittle. It ensures a bit more durability, and it’s glossy transparency ensures that the book looks valued.

The tape rarely peels off, but it can if an adult tries. It is much stronger and much more flexible than packing tape. The tape has a slight stretch to it which helps it conform better.

Cons

The cover 'hinge' was cracked and threatening to come apart. Also the surface of this album is not exactly smooth.

I am not sure of the acidity or archival quality of this product, but for my purposes, those qualities are not yet a concern.

Shipping

I use a thinner tape (standard shipping tape) at home for fixings books which does good for less heavy home use.

Packaging/appearance

I find this tape better than using say, packaging tape, which is thinner and often lower quality, plus not designed to repair books.

Competitiveness

Fingerprints don't appear as much as some other brands.
