Pros

This strapping tape is great for packaging. I reinforce it again if the box is extra heavy and but a piece of tape across the edges.

Amazon's price is much better than the local stores. Best things for shipping, nothing compares.

Strong strapping tape. Used for hobby application where reinforcement was needed. My 90 lbs. Are heavy--5 to 8 pounds.

In my opinion, scotch makes the best strapping tape. I think it is a little on the expensive side for tape, but it really does the trick when your moving.

We only buy 3m brand strapping tape as it is a quality product and does the job consistently.

Excellent tape when needing to really secure heavy shipping boxes.

Sometimes the shipping folks really maul your packages but this tape will stand up to some rough treatment.

We wanted an extra strength tape for heavy-duty shipping boxes - we use h pattern taping (seal the edges and seams).

Used 1/2 the roll and double taped everything on the 16" square box due to shipping overseas.

Packaging/appearance

This beats out the regular packaging tape.

The tape is great for packaging and seals really well.

I have tried the offbrand always go back to scotch.

Competitiveness

It is better than the cheap no-name brands of fiberglass tape.

Only the price keeps this from being a five-star product.

I'm probably being a little unfair by knocking off a star solely because of the price.
