Pros

This is compact, heats in seconds, does exactly what it's supposed to do. No bubbles or defects in the laminating process. My only complaint is the time it takes to heat up.

I laminate a lot of items for my classroom as it preserves the longevity. I tend to go for store brands as 3m can be quite pricey. It has 2 heat settings for use depending on thickness of items being laminated.

This will be used for my classroom all year. She is 11 years old and operates it with ease.

The only downside to this product is the fact that it only does 8 1/2 by 11 inch sized laminating. I like how it's small and portable.

Cons

Although affordable and compact, the scotch thermal laminator disappoints. Crinkled snowflakes is all i ended up with. It no longer heats up.

My previous laminator was a scotch tc901 which was purchased approximately 10 years ago at 19.

Competitiveness

I use a laminator for several projects, especially for recipes i put in a notebook.

I had a laminator that didn't perform very well, so was thrilled when this laminator worked so well and provided a good seal.

This is my 1st laminator and have only used it twice.
