Pros

Simple to setup. Easy to install and also detects errors in your system. The product is awesome and works flawlessly.

The connection is quite easy by simply hooking up my existing zone controller wires with the unit, connecting the power supply, and downloading the gro connect android app. Go through the pairing instructions and then restart the app.

Cons

This was a frustrating setup for us, and we are a techno-savvy family. Contacted the company, got the proverbial runaround. Scott's customer support is not very responsive.

The constant on-off is hard on pumps and shortens their life. Ignores irrigation schedules, can’t stay connected to wifi, and none of the “smart watering” features worked at all for me.

The hub is right below where the router sits. It’s a great idea, but would benefit from a hardwired ethernet connection, and better wifi connection on the gro controller end.

The downside to the app is that it gives a timeout error quite a bit. Also it works weird with google assistant.
