Pros & Cons
Pros
Easy to use after having to replace a very old one (not the same brand) just used to fall fertilize. Hope it works well in the spring for seed and other fertilizers. It can be tricky figuring out the settings for products that aren't scott's.
Highlights
Quality
I’ve spread grass seed, peletized lime and fertilizer with this spreader without issue.
The spreader manual doesn’t clearly indicate what the settings correlate to for coverage.
Hard to get edges with it so i was left with a 5” strip around my edges
Competitiveness
Overall, i feel it’s a good spreader for the money compared to the “professional “ spreaders my local lawn supply store offered.
If you've owned other scotts drop spreaders in the past, you might find the size of this model overly large.
