Pros

Every spring i have to re-plant grass along the driveway where the snow plow has taken out chunks of lawn. I really hope it does because my neighbors always get dandelions and it drives me crazy.

A good product that is recommended. Bought and used in mid-september in new england. This is a northeast mix which is helpful for where i live.

Make sure to prepare the area first by aerating and adding rich soil before seeding. We spread it on an area where we pulled up all the turf (it was mostly thick moss with some weeds) and also on the raked out dirt from mole hills.

Mix contains creeping red fescue, perennial ryegrass and kentucky bluegrass. Comes with watersmart plus coating which supposedly help to keep the seeds well watered.

Cons

Buy pennington. This area receives a lot of sunlight and only partial shade in the morning. The only this growing is crab grass and crazy weeds.

I spread this northeast mix at the end of august and have been very pleased with the results.

I am not sure why the first seeding didn't grow but i am very happy with the end result.

I have used this same product in previous years and have never had this issue.

It should be said that i also aerated the lawn with the spiked shoes.

And that package was double the cost of this.
