Pros

This grass is way prettier than what we have. Totally worth the effort and expense to me. Next year i will kill off what more of it i find and then do it again along with another overseeing using this turf builder.

Over-seeding in the fall seems to help choke out weeds in the spring. The idea is to practice in one spot then repairing that spot after practice is done. You just have to be careful with spreading it because it can be patchy.

Cons

The claim is that the coated seed product retains moisture and resists disease. I have a feeling tons of these bags sit in the amazon warehouse and by the time they ship to the consumer they are expired.

Appears to be some kind of fescue which is like 20% of the mix. Tried to kill with crabgrass * to no avail. The actual seeds have a small percentage of sprouting in good conditions.
