It does dry very firm, so if i want it to be more abrasive i barely get it damp and then scrub whatever needs heavy duty action first, then i go ahead and thoroughly wash my pots and pans in warm soapy water with my scrub daddy giving everything a spit shine ;-) highly recommend.  Read Less
