Excellent quality, but too bulky for my pocket. Small enough to fit in a purse or pocket, and strong enough to read the things manufacturers are trying to hide in the insanely small print. These are good value for the price.

It does not work very well directly under a desk lamp unless held at an angle however as it shows strong reflections in the glass which are also then directed onto the paper

I find that larger magnifying glasses work better for use under those conditions

As long as you have it the proper distance from your subject and yourself and its not directly under an artificial light though it works quite well for magnifying small details
