The mirror on these are always lose - they use a poor adhesive.
The mirror did fall out as soon as i took lid off.

The t was not a high priced item at all.
Seemed a little pricey but i got it to hold 30 x 2 1/2 inch strike anywhere matches.
(not a big deal as the mirror is not important for the task this item accomplished)

If the mirror is important to you dab a small spot of epoxy inside the lid and put the mirror back in

As far as the flint goes they never work but you can strike your matches on them if you want
