Then i sanded the hole to make it slightly bigger so the 1 saw would just barely pass through it easily

With the porcelain tile on the shower walls a regular or masonry bit would not work

Apply light pressure and let the hole saw do the work not your force

I only needed the large bit which lowes charges 25 for

The key is technique get the drill spinning at top speed with the bit posed just above the work and then press in one side to form a crescent groove as suggested by another reviewer
