It has an adjustment knob and a spring to hold tension, and works well once adjusted.
Theses are good, you must have a heavy enough frame to install.
If they slip back (which they do), that leaves bare steel jaws against my lenses.
While i cannot verify the 5x magnification, the image through the lens is clear and undistorted.
Price
79 price tag, i am happy with this purchase.
Inexpensive and very useful; worth trying out.

Its just a cheap bit of plastic and i think the lens may be plastic as well

The clip goes right onto the lens of my glasses but it has that rubbery stuff on it so i dont have to worry about scratching the lens

As others have mentioned in reviews here you do have to hold your face very close to the object you are viewing in order for it to come into focus

This does make it a little awkward and a little hard on the back as you have to lean over pretty far
