Definitely not super high quality but it works great for what i need it for.
If you are debating between getting one with or without a light spend the extra $2 for the one with the light.

It is exactly as advertised and well worth the cost.

So if you order this item, depending upon how much you use it you may also want to purchase extra lr44 batteries.
Be aware the light uses three lr44 lithium batteries and the batteries may fall or pop out.

This is handy for soldering but the clamps on the arms started taking off probably the 5th time i used it

The mechanical pieces of this item are well made they stick in place the way youd expect but it really is not heavy enough to be of any use unless soldering very small material with a tedious hand

I have resorted to clamping the base into the vise attached to my workbench to keep it in place i was hoping there might be some screw hole in the metal base to make it easier to attach to a workspace but there doesnt seem like a simple solution

The base is heavy but id prefer if it was larger any weight on the one side and you have to do adjustments to prevent it from falling over

Its a directed illuminate the object or a portion of it type of light not an illuminate the whole work area light

Something to note if you order yours during cold weather when i first pulled out the plastic guard the light would not work
