Cons

It has trouble picking up a quarter pound of stainless steel media at a time. The plunger gets caught up when releasing the handle. I have to physically touch the magnet to each item to get it to stick.

It neither weighs 16 pounds nor will pick up 16 pounds of irregular ferrous objects. There is no way it would ever hold anything close to 16lbs.
