I fix antique clocks (hobbyist) and it will be great for reinstalling the clock works into the case. This tool works smoothly and predictably.

This 4-prong pick-up tool is a great little gadget. It has four prongs that are sturdy and are completely recessed into the tool when not in use.

The spring action is firm but smooth. The tension is enough to start twisting if the end is threaded, but you need to finish * it closed by hand. The ball grabbed is a tremendous help.

I had something like this that was plastic that came with a computer toolkit, but after a couple of years of use, it finally broke.

The tool is not magnetic in any way, but it's too heavy to be aluminum, and way too hard to be lead or tin.

It's not a high-precision instrument, and i don't know how long it will last, but at this price i'm willing to take a chance with it.
