Pros & Cons
Pros
The skeg is curved back and resists getting fouled in seaweed. It cuts though the water with ease and is very menuverable.
Suggestions include (1) add center handles, (2) add d-rings and cargo nets, (3) offer a no-paddle option, and (4) redesign the footrests. They can be easily and securely installed by people with limited hand strength. The adjustable foot rests are a b... Read More
The sea eagle razorlite 393rl is stable enough for calm rivers, lakes, and marine areas protected by a breakwater. One negative is that the wet entry/exit of knee-deep water and central oklahoma’s dirt almost guarantees this. I paddle around the port ... Read More
Cons
This boat is built for speed, not casual recreation. It is not good for lakes, wind or rivers unless you are an expert boater.
Highlights
Quality
Set up is easy, quality components, good speed and tracking.
It is easy and quick to inflate (less than one minute pump time for each of the three ports), is nice and rigid, responsive, an... Read More

The new boat was just over $1000, so i had higher hopes.
Shipping
We called sea eagle customer service and they were very helpful and walked us through the process.
They then shipped my boat back, all free of charge.
I was unable to do it so they sent me a ups label to send it back to the ny factory for repair.
I contacted the company and they sent me instructions on how to replace the valve.
Packaging/appearance
I'm a mid-40's female with good/average strength and have no problem packing, unpacking, and carrying this around both folded and inflated.
The packed bag can still fit in the trunk or back seats of a compact car.
Competitiveness
Wind on the water today was 15-17, padding into the wind or with the wind the boat tracked great, even better than the tupelo w... Read More
So far i am happy about the kayak and its quality is quite different than the cheaper one.
If you’ve read many reviews, you already know how most 393rl owners feel about this kayak.
Even then i’ll have spent less on both than it would cost to get just one hard shell kayak of similar quality and performance.
