The picture does not do it justice

I needed the globe facing up configuration luckily because there were some minor but noticeable scrapes in the finish of the mounting plate which would have shown if mounted in the more traditional way

I would have returned it for replacement and would highly recommend it for value and appearance five stars except for the minor ding
