Pros

Big enough for my massive collection of movies, shows and music with about 5tb of space left for more files. Runs cooler than my seagate 8tb firecuda hdd (games only) but not sure why. Perfect for your nas implementations.

These drives are a little noisy on spin up but my server is in a non-living area. Compared to the servers themselves, these drives are quiet. The msi desktop is whisper quiet. This is faster (of course 7200rpm vs 5200rpm), and quieter surprisingly.

This one has great specs and comes with a 5 year warranty. I'm hopeful it lasts a long time before needing replacement, but only time will tell.

Cons

Received cyclic redundancy error. They send the bad drive in purely to provide proof of drive failure. If the warranty check says in warranty, it only means it might be in warranty.

I used seagate as my primary hd for a long time, they has good quality.

This one has great specs and comes with a 5 year warranty.

Checked the warranty and all are good until 06/30/2028 - basically 5 years.

So far none of the exos drives i've purchased over the years have given any problems other than this one doa.

Price

Great cost per tb, and is sufficient for media and game development.

This 14 tb seagate exos was reasonably priced and available overnight.

The price is also meager $210 - $15 per tb!

These things are staggeringly cheap for what they do, which is store, massive amounts of data.

Shipping

Got the order quicker than expected and arrived without an issue.

It arrived the next day and is up and running with no problems.

Packaging/appearance

Drives arrived well packed and simply wrapped in esd bags.

I would not cram these into a tiny box that hides inside a cabinet without adequate ventilation.

Competitiveness

Also, quickdealstore are the best sellers i've had the pleasure of doing business with.

I filed a claim with seagate and they replaced it no questions asked.

Just be aware that being this is a server/ enterprize drive it will make more noise than a standard commodity hard drive.
