Pros

Gb drive is currently the sweet spot for price/gb in a raid configuration. Seagates rma process is way better than most hdd warranty programs as they provide advance replacement if desired. Up to 32tb so far and growing. Gb is the same as a 2gb gb dri... Read More

I have them loaded into a drobo 5c and get 100-150mbps read/write speeds. Fast and robust, running in a raid 5 array with no errors on 3/4 of them.

This is fast and big space i never have in single piece.

Competitiveness

I have them loaded into a drobo 5c and get 100-150mbps read/write speeds with very good reliability.

Using this drives in a 4 bay qnap 453 (using 2 currently).

Also drives are 7,200 rpm and fast but extremely loud compared to my older seagate 3tb nas drives (which do have apm and acoustic control).

This seagate 3tb ironwolf hdd did just that.
