Cons

Amazon is deceitful and covering the seller. This is not a new drive as it was covered in this disgusting sticky gunk with someone's fingerprints visible on it. A 7200 rpm drive is better than this 5200 with cache.

Easy to install and works well so far

Only measured transfer speeds on an older laptop (i5 6th gen with 8gb ram) but a steady 120mbps speed achieved so can't complain.

It took about two hours to clone 120 gb of data.

Price

Second one slotted into a sabrent external enclosure and hey presto - a total cost of £28 for a 500gb external hybrid hard drive.

Got mine for £15 here on amazon.

Packaging/appearance

It came inside 24 hours in a sealed foil envelope which itself was inside a jiffy packet.

Competitiveness

Obviously it is not as good as a full ssd but for the price it is excellent value for money and much better than a hdd.

Maybe this being a hybrid drive and not a standard ssd drive is making the difference.
