Pros

One of the internal 2 tb drives still works fine. The only issue is the infamous loudish beep.

As a gamer i honestly have to say that this ended up being the best investment towards my ps4. Sony's psn website has a 1-2-3 instruction guide for upgrading to this hard drive. Easiest upgrade ever, to our ps4.

Cons

The advertised 2-year warranty is apparently a lie. The smart disk diagnostic tools constantly report unreadable blocks, even after a full zero-ing of the drive. Kept having to reinstall the os every time.

I didn't realize this wasn't a retail product but the seller did explain after i questioned it (it was a wholesale product).

Price

Met all expectations the price is perfect!

Packaging/appearance

After doing some research, i stumbled upon this and decided to take out my 500gb hard drive and put in the 2tb one.

However, once the covers were removed the hard drive installation went smoothly and quickly.

Competitiveness

Excellent high-speed drives i purchased for my synology nas.

It may be a placebo, but i believe this hard drive is faster than the 500gb stock one that comes with the ps4.

Even with a standard 1tb hard drive in my now-year-old ps4 pro, i was starting to run out of room with game installs/updates.
