Just upgraded the ram today to 16gb to help it along and it's a different animal with the combo.
Price
Given how much the price goes up for macbook pro’s, with larger drives, this is much more cost effective.
Shipping
Already had a samsung t5 and this seagate is just as fast on win7/10 and as fast on android once connected.
Competitiveness
Great product, really light and great for expanding your hardrive
Can't wait for ssd £/gb to drop a bit more, then i'll get a 4tb!

The boot time on the 500 gb seagate drive was 3 minutes whereas the boot time was about 1 minute for 250 gb internal hard drive

Once booted via the external seagate drive only dropbox had to be registered for the seagate drive

Not to worry though because whenever it is lugged into the laptop it swiftly makes sure all changed files are updated
