Pros

This thing is awesome. For archiving and backup, this one is a sure winner. Always as advertised, a great product.

Cons

But the failure rate within the warranty period is quite regular. Everything is encrypted and inaccessible. They can't mount properly, and they eject itself too easily.

One of the 3 partitions is recognizable osx, one in windows. Does not have the files for the creative cloud and mylio freebies. Seems like its operating outside of usb 3.

This drive only does 60mb/s for short writes, and craps out after a short while. The ssd drives are just too expensive, and fast is not a priority for me. They send me 1tb hdd in stead of 5tb.

It has enough room to create and store multiple system images quickly and easily.

I have small form factor (2-1/2") portable usb hard drives in sizes from 1 tb to 4 tb, and they've all given trouble free service.

I had them before and they stop working suddenly so you never know when it is going to fail, and if it fails you loose everything.

Price

A great amount of storage for a low price.

May purchase again if the price drops further.

And you can't beat the price for that.

I took it out and put it in both my dell and hp server and they work flawlessly.
