Pros

Lacie external hard drive works great for me. No reason not to expand the memory on either your desktops, laptops both microsoft and apple. It travels better and the cords are less delicate.

Cons

Tb seagate drive st4000dx000, has a high failure rate of 35. Seagate will only pay for shipping one way. Drive has a 2 year limited warranty and amazon says the drive has long since passed the return date.

This is only about the sixth time i've plugged it into my mac, to make a current back-up, and nothing happened.

The drive is probably fine but the software is a joke. My computer recognizes the drive and so do my other files, but the seagate software does not. Everytime i click on the drive it tells me it can't access it. Windows explorer will not show it and i... Read More

I am actually happy with purchase, and with amount of storage these days you double the storage after couple years anywas.

I can honestly say that this is the greatest hard drive i have ever owned in my life.

I have had two for some years that work reliably, even after both were dropped on carpeted floor.

This one feels like it needs to stay plugged in at a desktop and never move.

Price

It’s amazing how much the price of storage has come down.

And, it was reasonably priced for the size.
