The only downside so far is that for some reason after formatting it for the ps4 software it somehow loses 400 gigs so the actual usable space is 4

I dont understand why it would take that much space given that the firmware on the actual ps4 console uses 100 gigs of space

Bought the 5tb bp external hd midmarch specifically to transfer data off of an xp sp3 32bit system in order to upgrade without the concern of data loss despite being advised there was a newer model available the 6tb stdt6000100 for which however there was no xp support

Somewhere along the way i realized however that as of this model stdt5000100 and moving forward you would need to use the paragon driver from seagate to read the full drive rather than xps native maximum of 2tb

This has to do with seagate having switched over to gpt partitions from the previous mbr partitions the latter being native to xp sp3 32bit
