My initial settingupcomes with exfat file format system out of the box which i do not recommend as its more susceptible to data corruption when errors occur or the drive is not disconnected properly from the computer over ntfs file format system

Ntfs is native to windows so if you have mac device i recommend you to install paragon driver from seagate site for smooth operation between mac os and windows
