Pros

Seagate backup plus ultra slim 2tb portable is stylish and light and slim. It’s lightweight and whisper quiet. More than most people need by a longshot.

Seagate is a reputable brand for hard drives. Not too bad for a regular disk plate drive. Do not shake or drop while using or it will get damaged.

Seagate's portable hdd is perfect for most any application. Seagate can be used to automate backups on windows 7 and later. I only use the drive for backups, but i anticipate it would work well for any data or media.

Cons

Will not populate in menu and makes a chirping sound. Also makes this clicking noise when plugged in. My dad is a computer programmer and even he couldn't help me fix the drive.

Build quality was flimsy. Unfortunate from a what was supposed to be a reasonably reputable company. Warranty basically says you're *.

Seagate's customer service is only open m-f 8:00 am to 6:00 pm central standard time. If that doesn't work for your schedule, that's too darned bad. Here it is middle of a weekday afternoon pst, and @askseagate hasn't tweeted in 10 hours.

An excellent hard drive very fast and small dimensions highly recommend

Its been under constant use ,downloading 400gb+ worth of games and not a single problem

If you really want some portable solutions that are resistant to shock, get an ssd.

Price

At around $66, it was a great value.

As for this unit, 2tb for about 70 bucks is a very good deal.

It's not an essd but it's also not priced like one and also it's not fat like a standard ehddiii) 2tb is a lot of space.

More than most people need by a longshot if you add in already existing internal spaceiiii) as i said the price is agreeable.
