Cons

Buy an ssd. This drive has that newer smr technology that is a joke for doing any kind of multiple file work. The device was recognized under bios and through intel rst but was unable to find it under windows and device manager.

Is this a design flaw? I hope it's not an ongoing issue for you. Defective out of box seems like so much more of a hassle.

As far as i'm concerned the 140 mb/s performance is false advertising. Reading isn't bad, but then some document files get corrupt or checkdisk goes ape and wants to repair the drive. Slowed down to a few kb/sec.

Seagate uses every trick in the book to try and inconvenience you out of processing your rightful warranty. I'm not sure how a seagate can market this as a general purpose drive in good conscious.
