If i had to do it over again i would have purchased 2tb drives not 3tb drives.
These are the maximum size drive you can instal in a dell poweredge 2950 with perc 5i raid controller.

I do prefer the enterprise line of seagate drives as they are the only drives approved for use with enterprise grade raid controllers see card mfg supported lists

But these drives have been in operation 247 for over 4 years now in a hot environment and both where replaced under warranty

Edit 2 i now have 32 of these drives and havent had any other drives fail since the 2 that had issues but where replaced under warranty
