Pros

Get the discount price on these drives for the needed and well priced value of gb/ per dollar is the strongest reason to purchase. It runs flawlessly and super fast. Drive has minimal power on hours (~12 days) and performs as expected.

This is a good backup solution before ssds get really gigantic and cheap to fully replace hdds. This drive supports disabling tler/erc, which i was worried about. I assume this is the head(s) accessing random parts of disk as opposed to just contiguou... Read More

These are probably the noisiest by far. The one disappointment is that it is noisy when being accessed.

Since these drives carry a 5 year warranty i recommend the purchase of a 2nd unit in the use of a back-up in case of failure. Verified the warranty with seagate and over 5 years was shown.
