Have had problems in the past with large hard drives just not being recognized by certain windows versions.

For the price i paid, well worth it!

Considering the price per gb this is relatively cheap.

Shipping

Shipped quick and packed securely as always.

I received excellent disks with almost no surprise .

That said, do not buy this, or any other drive that's sold and shipped by amazon.

They arrived in 2 days and all 8 had at least a 5 yr warranty.

Packaging/appearance

The drives came well packaged in protective containers and sealed in anti-static bags.

I purchased 3 from them and they were all packaged in a box far too big, with the drive just in a static bag.

I've never seen a drive so badly dented before.

Competitiveness

The exos line of drives are enterprise rated for use in commercial settings and data centers.

I have used seagate nas drives into other arrays that are similar to this one.

If you can get an enterprise rated drive for similar pricing or a bit more than consumer drives, go for it.

My two drives were sold by sabrepc, so my experience may not reflect that of other sellers.
