Pros
These drives are a little noisy on spin up but my server is in a non-living area. I see a lot of people have complained about the noise with this drive. They're big loud mechanical drives.
The raid is flawless so far. No problems or reportable errors after 1. Gon. Fears of problems were unfounded.
Sequential reads/writes and 700ish iops. Works very well - gets a steady transfer rate from other hdds during the hours at a very high speed.
Cons
Received cyclic redundancy error. Seagate's warranty website is non functional. The only option is 'live chat' with people who legitimately do not speak english well and have no interest in helping.

This one has great specs and comes with a 5 year warranty.
Works perfect, no issues, good read and write speeds, overall very satisfied.
Checked the warranty and all are good until 06/30/2028 - basically 5 years.
So far none of the exos drives i've purchased over the years have given any problems other than this one doa.
Price
Great cost per tb, and is sufficient for media and game development.
This 14 tb seagate exos was reasonably priced and available overnight.
The price is also meager $210 - $15 per tb!
Would love ssd to get to this cost range per tb.

It arrived the next day and is up and running with no problems.

Drives arrived well packed and simply wrapped in esd bags.
Competitiveness
Also, quickdealstore are the best sellers i've had the pleasure of doing business with.
It was 10's of percents worse failure rates than the nearest competitor.
Figuring the odds of another doa were very small i placed another order for the same seagate exos 14 tb model.

At and above 12 tb usually is helium sealed with less friction and heat compared to open to air

With my synology nases 16 tb is listed as a go by synology and while lots of internet bloggers have used higher capacities in general know the ceilings published by the manufacturer
