Overall it's a decent external drive even with the racket it makes! Had two western digital drives. The one touch hub comes in a variety of drive sizes.
The barracuda seems to gently remind you that they are starting to reach end-of-life. Restored my backup to this drive and copied the other one over, and am off again.
Cons
Constant random disconnects from macbook pro. Reformatted, but drive still disconnects and disappears from the system. Even so, it disconnects randomly and locks computer and only restart helps.

Quality
Overall it's a decent external drive even with the racket it makes!
Have travelled with the drive a few times will no detrimental effects of it passing through security and being in a travel case.
The quality is high, but i purchased a 2tb only to discover it is actually only 1.
Came apart decently well and the internal drive is very high quality.
Shipping
My it guy introduced me to carbon copy cloner software which i linked this too, it's so quick and fast to back up.
Packaging/appearance
This 8 tb external hard drive is formatted to ntfs and ready to go straight out of the box.
Competitiveness
I like that you get 2 years warrenty!
Despite the answer to one of the questions, the 4tb version does not have a usb-c socket.
The 10tb one i ordered came with a 7200rpm barracuda pro.

If it should fail within the first two years because its segate you get attempted file recovery as part of the deal with this drive

The drive has no onoff switch instead it relies on detecting power on the usb3 port which is incidentally its only interface

I found this a bit confusing as the disk is suuposed to power down once no power is detected at the usb3 interface

Ive only had the drive a few weeks so cant comment on longevity and not had to contact tech support so i cant rate that either
